November 2013 Meeting Minutes

 

ATTENDEES:& APOLOGIES: As per attendance book

 No councillors present and no apologies  .

MEETING COMMENCED: 7.10p.m.

MINUTES from the previous meeting had been circulated

CORRESPONDENCE was received from:-

Department of Justice
 re ; Safety cameras for the intersection of Greenvale Drive & Mickleham Rd. Response was that the matter will go to the Safety camera panel for their Consideration

Liz Beattie re Bus service.

Response - She has spoken in parliament regarding the inadequate bus services in Greenvale, and has also made representations to Hume council.

Department of Justice

 re; our code to access our incorporation information.

Hume Council re Neighbourhood house.

 Response is that we have to focus on a couple of activities to get things started, but they still want on us to get things set up.

Hume Council - providing us with a copy of Hume Faith Directory & services guide, and a brochure on Development of Transport infrastructure for Growth areas.

Treasurer’s Report.

On behalf of the treasurer the president reported on our funds in the Bank
Moved Mark Busuttil, Seconded Maria Rickey, & Carried.

Resignation. Due to his  work commitment , Joe Calabretta has tendered his resignation as Secretary.

Mark Busuttil has offered to take on the groups secretarial duties.

Moved Charlie, seconded Julie, that Joes resignation be accepted with regret, and Marks offer to act as secretary be accepted. – carried

General Business

A discussion too place regarding activities for next year and the following projects, as well as others, will be pursued next year.
          Government Secondary College for Greenvale

• Greenvale Drive Reserve, Provision of electric barbeques, Walking track, and other improvements.
• Making Council & councillors more accountable to GRA & Greenvale Residents.
• Improvements & increased use of Greenvale recreational centre.

Meetings.
It was decided that for 2014 meetings will be held every 2^nd month starting In March
The meeting time also to be changed to 7.30 pm, But still on the last Thursday of the month.

The meeting dates for 2014 are:

 - 27^th March,
 -29th May,
 - 31st July,
 -  25^th September,
 - 27th November.
