LETTER SENT TO HUME COUNCIL -RE: GRASS CUTTING ALONG MICKLEHAM RD & UNDER FLIGHT PATH BETWEEN ATTWOOD AND GREENVALE
Letter asked Council to investigate why grass has not been cut along Mickleham Rd, between Barrymore Rd and Somerton Rd. We also expressed concern that with summer approaching, grass under flight path between Attwood and Greenvale is only cut along the fenceline and the rest is left to grow high.

** Charlie phoned Vic Rds regarding grass not being cut along Mickleham Rd and he was told that they are aware of it and have had problems with the contractor who built the road, as the road is still on a 2 year maintenance period by the contractor which includes cutting the grass. Contractor informed Vic Rds that grass should be cut soon. Once maintenance period is over in 3 months, all grass cutting will be the responsibility of Hume Council.

**We received a reply to our letter on Nov 12 from Council which basically confirmed what Charlie was told over the phone. We were informed that area under flight path is owned by same developers (Vic Spano) who constructed Cambridge Gardens and we were urged to contact them.

LETTER RECEIVED FROM HUME COUNCIL -RE: PROPOSED SIGNAGE AT GREENVALE RECREATION CENTRE
Charlie has been chasing Council to get signs erected at Rec Centre to promote GRA and NHW. Letter from Bruce Fordham informs us that it is not possible for Council to approve a stand alone sign for our Association but rather that we add our name to the current existing sign at the Rec Centre. Council also stated that they support and commend the excellent work that our group does in the community.
**Charlie is going to follow through with this letter.

FLYER RECEIVED FROM HUME COUNCIL -RE: INVITATION TO A CELEBRATION OF HUME WOMEN’S LINK ACHIEVEMENTS
On Friday, Nov 27 at the Hume Global Learning Centre beginning at 10.00a.m. is the launch of the Hume Women’s Directory. Light lunch is provided and entertainment for all the family.
