CAR BOOT SALE
·
GRA has permission from the Recreation Centre to
hold a Car Boot Sale – no permit required from Council.
·
Daniel was tentatively looking at Sunday, April
22nd to hold the car Boot sale which would take place in front of
the kinder.· Greg mentioned that May 5th has been nominated as a “National Garage Day”, and is a State Government initiative.
· GRA may look at this date to hold the Car Boot Sale.
· Daniel will ring Daryl to confirm date and contact members, as a committee needs to be formed.
NOMINATION FOR SECRETARY
Semra Sakir was nominated as secretary and she accepted the position.
HILATS STRATEGY 2011 – 2020 (Hume Integrated Land use)
· The HILATS document can be found on the Hume City Council website.
· The document covers land use, public transport, roads, freight, education, walking/cycling in Hume.
· Daniel called for a sub-committee to read the document and report back to members and decide how the GRA would respond to the strategies outlined.
· Greg, Charlie and Daniel will read the document and report back at next meeting.
SEWERAGE SMELL ON MICKLEHAM RD
Charlie hasn’t followed up problem but will report back at next meeting.

Postman
not pushing mail in far enough into letterbox – people may feel encouraged to
steal mail.

Fleetwood
Drive needs speed bumps to slow down traffic.

Snakes
in parkland on Kirkham Drive. Resident was told that he has to pay $300 for a
snale catcher to come out. Council should be providing this service and not
charging residents.

Greg
received information from Council confirming that funding for lighting and
clubrooms at Barymore Rd soccer site has been referred to the 5 year capital
works program for consideration by Council in June 2012. The draft budget will
be on public exhibition late May 2012.
