GENERAL BUSINESS
HUME HORIZONS: PLANNING FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS
In the Leader Newspaper there was an article asking for community groups to get involved in this initiative of Hume Council. They want feedback from people so as to identify the long term vision for the community and get a clear direction on local aspirations and expectations. This new Community Plan replaces Council’s Hume City plan 2030 and provided a long term strategic view of Hume City.

Joel Farrell will come to our GRA meeting on May 30. He is the co-ordinator of this Community Plan and will explain in greater detail about the community consultation. In the meantime, please take an information sheet and postcard with you, sign up to the monthly e-newsletter for Hume Horizons to keep up to date with the project. Use the following link to sign up:

GREENVALE SHOPPING CENTRE CARPARK
A resident has identified a potential safety hazard in the car park at Shopping Centre on Greenvale Drive.
It has been noted that there is congestion that occurs at the western entrance There are many occasions when traffic is trying to exit the car park from the 3 areas that feed into this exit/entrance whilst other traffic is trying to come in.  On many occasions traffic gridlock occurs at this western entry/exit with everybody coming to a standstill, and traffic trying to come into the centre banking up along Greenvale drive, sometimes as far as Mickleham Road.
Action: Charlie will draft a letter to Centre Management at Greenvale Shopping Centre.

GREENVALE ROTARY CLUB
Rotary wish to set up a club here in Greenvale. Meetings will be held once a fortnight.
First meeting will be at Stefano’s Cafe on Greenvale Drive on March 13 – 6.30 – 7.00pm.
