Presidents report,
Richard thanked everyone for coming to our first meeting for the year .
He noted that there are two councillors in attendance , one being the Mayor, as well as our guest speaker Adrian Tullio from ICT technology systems .
Adrian’s talk is as a follow up to the problem with burglaries and home invasions in Greenvale area. Adrian’s company installs high quality camera and alarm systems .
Councillors Report. CR. Drew Jessop reported on
items of expenditure being undertaken in Greenvale.
He was questioned on the
reluctance of education department to build the secondary college in Greenvale.
He mentioned it had to do with numbers, and that a new secondary college site
was earmarked for North of Somerton rd off Aitken Boulevard. (Melway P 386,A,9) Cr Jessop was told that Greenvale residents have obviously been badly represented as Greenvale with the inclusion of the new estates had the numbers to justify a secondary college on the Barrymore site, and it appears the these new Greenvale estates are being used to justify a secondary college outside of Greenvale.
The issue of Mickleham Rd duplication and pathways from new
estates to Greenvale shops was also discussed, and Cr Jessop stated that
Mickleham rd was Vic roads reasonability and council was not able to do
anything as this was a State Government issue.
Guest Speaker.
Adrian Tullio from
Advance Infotech Sytems gave a talk about home security systems & cameras.
He mentioned they used top quality cameras & equipment and gave many examples
of the sophisticated security systems they install. He also answered many
questions from those present.
